Dr. Edward Samourjian
Dr. Edward Samourjian is a double board-certified vascular and general surgeon. Dr. Samourijan is from Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate education at University of California Irvine where he earned a bachelor’s degree in both biological sciences and chemistry. Following this, Dr. Samourjian obtained his medical degree at St. George’s University in 2008. He then went on to complete his general surgery residency at University of Nevada and his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Utah Health Sciences Medical Center. With his training at the University of Utah, Dr. Samourjian had the incredible opportunity to learn complex endovascular and open vascular operative techniques which he added to his armamentarium when facing complex vascular pathology including: Aneurysmal disease, Carotid Artery disease, Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD), Varicose venous disease, Dialysis access, Anterior spine exposure and well as Vascular Trauma.
Dr. Samourjian is very passionate about the practice of vascular surgery and treating the patient as a whole. This includes developing a very strong long-term relationship with his patients with a true emphasis on communicating with his patient so they entirely understand the nature of their illness and the safest way to receive treatment.
Dr. Samourjian is married to his beautiful wife Lara who is an internal medicine physician practicing in Visalia. They are excited to start the next chapter of their lives in Visalia. Dr. Samourjian is an avid athlete that has a particular passion for running ultramarathons. His interests include traveling, snowboarding, and mountain climbing. He is very proud to be a doctor with South Valley Vascular and dedicated to providing superior care to his patients.
